From Poetry to Chick Lit at Big Smoke...
A terrific time was had by all at this evening's Poetry Saloon!
Next Saturday, January 30th, as our guest workshop in Writing A Bestseller: How To Successfully Write and Publish Chick Lit is taking place, we will once again have members of the Big Smoke team on hand to take registrations for upcoming courses and answer queries between 1-3pm. Feel free to come along, and take a look at our course list to see what's starting in February!

Poetry Saloon (Sunday, January 24th)

A Poetry Saloon
at 4pm on Sunday 24th January, at the Big Smoke Writing Factory, where you will be treated to some of the best new poetry being written in this town - we really think so!
We'll put a glass in your hand while you listen. And if you're still getting organised to register for that Big Smoke course, a member of the team will be on hand to help with that.
Astonishingly fine poems on a Sunday afternoon in our little Georgian drawing room. Sure, where else would you be going?

Open Registration Days
Interested in signing up for one of our upcoming courses? We'll be holding several open registration days before the start of our winter/spring term.

You can register for courses (please note that we can only accept cash or cheque at open days - credit card payments can be processed only through Paypal at present), or just discuss with one of us what kind of course might suit you best. As ever, there will be tea!

Gift certificates do not have an expiry date. They cannot be exchanged for cash. Online gift certificates may be refunded within 7 days of purchase and will not be refunded past this date.
Please note that gift certificates bought online must be used to pay for courses online (via Paypal). Any balance owing must be paid via Paypal in the same transaction. Any amount left on the gift certificate will remain in your account to use towards future purchases at Big Smoke. Big Smoke Reading Night
Big Smoke Writing Factory presents its first Reading Night, this Friday (September 25th), from 6.30pm-9.30pm. Entry is free. All are welcome.
A selected group of writers from long-running advanced workshops will be reading their work. Refreshments and music will be provided - just bring yourself!

Open registration nights
Registration for BIG SMOKE courses can be done online or through the post, but we're aware that some people like to register in person - or find out where the classes will be held before they sign up for a course.
We'll be holding three open registration evenings in September before classes start:
Tuesday, 1 September (6pm-9pm)
Friday, 11 September (6pm-9pm)
Saturday, 19 September (2pm-6pm)
You don't need to let us know you're coming - though if you'd like a space held provisionally for you on a particular class please contact us and let us know which evening you'll be popping in. At each evening, members of the BIG SMOKE team will be on hand to discuss any questions you might have about the courses or about which course might suit best. Feel free to pop in even if you've already signed up if there's anything you'd like to discuss with a member of the team!
